2006 News

• 19/10/2006 ODA - new Tool for Oracle object dependencies analyzing. Beta version.
  We pass on OraDep the version written on Java.
  I have named new product JAO, it is unimportant, that it means. For start JAO it is necessary to establish Java Runtime Environment (JRE), that will agree, smaller restriction, than Oracle*Forms Runtime installation .
  After you solve all problems with JRE installation and connect Oracle Database via JDBC (these general problems and they are not so connected with JAO), you can load object by the button "Insert object" and look its dependences in both directions ("Parent" and "Detail" tabs).
  It is possible to receive HTML report by the button "HTML presentation" in "HTML" tab. The tree of dependences shows on double click on object name.
  Ahead there are many opportunities which I assume to add, but I require your offers.
  I very much ask to inform on all problems with which you have met at installation and work JAO application.

  I prepare for the new OraDep version written in Java, and I do OraDep absolutely freeware. All your remarks on which you inform me, will be considered in the following version.

• 10/09/2005 New OraDep version for Windows Oracle*Form 10g .
  Executable file sa_search_obj_dependencies.fmx is compiled in Windows Oracle*Form 10g. Configuration file samples and icons.jar where are in config_samples directory.
  
  
• 28/03/2005 Navigation added to object dependences HTML report.
  The report is divided into 3 parts now. In the beginning there is a table of contents, it is possible to see all detailed objects of accounting object and there is an opportunity under the reference to pass to a corresponding part of the report. Being on dependences of object it is possible to pass to the beginning of the report (reference "Back") or return to object in a table of contents.

HTML report about detail objects for parent object is expanded. For tables now it is possible to see what manipulations above them are made. It is convenient for priveleges grant in the further, for example.


• 10/02/2005 OraDep release 1.4.0.
  Work with PLL added (Attached libraries display, library programs display in PLL and at last, display of fragments of a code in Oracle forms where library programs are used). According to it, new types of objects have appeared: all kinds of library programs.
  OraDep now can search for dependences of objects taking place in different file directories, different schemes of database and even in different database instances. The object is remembered in OraDep repository with directory path, the scheme and a database link.

  "CUSTOM" object type is available now. In the "Detail" tab screen it is possible to add any string ("create" toolbar button),and then to search for her in a program code. In this case the object with "CUSTOM" type is created and search is made and in the comments body.
